Nice Generator

I bought this generator from my neighbor who bought it last year (2022). Dave came up with cancer and never opened the box. The box still had the tape on top and the straps around the box and staples in place. To my surprise a pond opening I find that it came with the wheels, legs, battery, oil, funnel and a trickle charger. Put it all together, with stabilizer in gas. Would not start. The problem was the solenoid on the bottom of the carb. At the factory they use plain gas to test run the generators. The residual left over from the gas will cause the solenoid needle valve to stick after sitting a few months and not start. All you have to do is tap on the solenoid on the bottom of carb, when the generator is trying to start to unstick the needle valve. Westinghouse makes a nice generator but they will not stand behind their warranty. Go to the BBB web site. How sad that Westinghouse doesn't even know what causes no start out of the box.

Great Features and easy to use

I bought this model to use for mobile communications in emergencies. It will be used in amateur radio during a nationwide annual “Field Day” where hams get points when they use portable power and make sure they are ready in a real emergency.

Bought this back up generator to use as emergency power if and when the need arises. Setup was quick and easy. Start up with gas and propane went great. electric start - remote start and recoil start all done without any problems. We are pleased with the unit - hope to have it for a long time.

Started right up with push button. But was missing remote. In process of getting it resolved. Looks like l will be happy with purchase being that our electric goes off at least two times a year. I will be mainly using propane.
