This generator was all I had hoped for, in the event of a power failure. It gives me the comfort of knowing that a power failure will not interrupt my everyday life. The generator is simple to operate and it gives me the advantage of dual fuel and remote start. Great choice.

I bought this a few weeks ago and after setting it up I am thoroughly impressed with the build quality and features. The remote start is just the beginning of it. I really liked how the propane option eliminates any troubles related to gasoline going stale while provides an alternate fuel option.

This WGen7500DF generator model was easy to transport in my pickup, fitting nicely under the rear shell opening, and was easy to unpack, assemble and get running. Started right up with the electric starter button on the first try, and ran smoothly. The battery arrived with a charge, but I fully charged it overnight as instructed before testing it the next day—the included charger and front panel charging port are a convenient feature.
The noise level isn't much different than my smaller portable generator (3500W), and I don't find it uncomfortably loud operating in the driveway or yard. Walking a few houses away, it sounds like a normal lawnmower.
In my opinion the quality is very good with details such as a well laid-out control panel, easy-open fuel cap with a sturdy filling screen and good guage, and a very well balanced handle paired bigger wheels—it weights about 210 pounds wet and it's not hard to push around with the handle extended. The air filter, oil filler and drain plugs, and other components are in easy reach. The bonded-ground jumper is easy to access and remove if needed.
I haven't tried running it on propane, but the manual states that you can switch fuel sources while running the unit.
Overall I'm very pleased. This will be used for whole-house temporary emergency power (select important circuits like furnace, kitchen, computer room, basement freezer. etc.) through a transfer switch.

Failed when we needed it most

Initial setup was nice and easy. Unfortunately when the first power outage came along the generator ran great for about 4 hours, then shut itself down. After that it would run for 10-15 minutes then shut down again. This was while running on propane with about 4000 watts of load. Half a tank of propane left, was plenty to run my BBQ for a few weeks. Support tried blaming the refrigerator. Guess I am on my own with a huge paperweight out of return window. Maybe I got a bad one, but you may want to avoid this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice generator not too loud but powerful

So far so good. Delivery was flawless. Would give a 5 however, one of the axles was defective. It was manufactured too large to fit into frame and washer. Hope customer service comes through because this thing is heavy and dosen't move well on one wheel!

I purchased this to replace a 16 year old generator used after Hurricane Rita (2005). The Westinghouse WGen7500DF Started right up using gas and propane. It operated exactly as advertised. Love the remote starter. Simple assembly with no issues.
