one push and "go."

I was deciding between a B+S gas powered inverter 6500W and this WGen7500DF. Although the Inverter is suppose to be quieter and have longer run time, I decided to go with the WH because of the ability to burn both gas or propane. I like the option and porpane burns cleaner and stores better than gas. My electrician wired our house with a transfer switch. We hooked it up today. One push on the electric start and "go." So easy to to start. He was impressed. A little loud...had to talk loud to hear each other. I live in an area where we loose power for several days at a time and every year. I hope this WH will do the job. I look forward to having heat and water, (hot and cold) when the power goes out. I wished WH made a dual fuel Inverter with over 5000 watts and a 30 amp, 240v connection. The only one I could find was the Honda EU 7000 for a whopping 4 grand. Sorry, Honda. It would take me a long time in fuel cost to make up the difference for the price of this WH which was around 1 grand. I am only rating 3 because I haven't tested it yet...

Just got to prove itself

I bought this a few months ago and did nothing more than fire it up for a whole house test and then parked it. Yesterday, the power went out and is expected to be out for 3 more days! Hooked it up and it fired right up. I used propane so I don't have to worry about old gas in it. A 30lb tank ran it at about 3/4 power (had AC on and a hot water tank) for almost 9 hours! Had one issue of the breaker on the gen tripping when the water heater came on while the AC was on. Just flipped it back up and it continued to go. Now we're waiting to see if this beast can run for 3 days without a break.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We haven't had to use the generator yet as we just received it but after examining the product & reading the manual it looks to be just what we will need. Our neighbor was impressed; said it's way better than the generator he has.

Peace of mind

It's great knowing that I now have the ability to keep my family safe and warm when the power goes out. The generator is everything I thought it would be. I set it up in about twenty minuets and I was off and running. I was surprised at the noise level. I thought it would be as loud as my old generator. It's a lot quieter.

The electric start is a wonderful feature for an older person like me. Even my wife can start it up for us in a power outage. I love the dual fuel feature! No more worries about bad gas. We can use propane that's been sitting around a long time and get gas later (because it's easier for us to get than propane). Much quieter than my older 6500w and much easier to move around with the full frame handle instead of the single wobbly handly my old one has. I am really sad that they ran out of bonus covers though. We have a lot of birds in our garage.

Good strong generator and portable

Have used this product already to power a well pump, without any problems. Enjoy the electric start and the weight of the generator is suitable for moving by one person.
