american company but I think motor is from china

great power for the money. I was disappointed to discover that apparently the motor came from China. Now I feel like replacement parts may be more difficult to get. Also it appears that the Auto Choke function is not auto. I does work but has to be activated manually. Positives, For as much power as it supplies it is relatively quite. An it run smooth even when under a load. Love the key fob and push button start.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought it 2 months ago and make a habit of starting it every 2 weeks, just to keep it tip top. No problems so far. It starts in cold weather, but not REALLY cold weather. User tip: make sure it's about 20 deg F or higher outside, keep the battery topped off, and pull the cord a few times to prime the engine. I have never pulled it start; it's very heavy to pull, however priming this way seems to really help the electric starter. It fired up first try yesterday when i pulled three times first and it was 19 F.

Easy to set up and use

Bought this a few weeks ago and chose based on other reviews and Consumer Reports listing as a good brand. First time user of generator, but it was easy to understand and get ready for use.
