Starting a warranty claim...

I have had this generator for a year or so and used to power a small cabin on a ranch in west Texas. Overall I haven't had a lot of problems and has mostly been reliable up until now. I've maintained the unit and changed the oil as recommended. The power is more than adequate and the remote start is a great convenience. It seems to be sensitive to heat - it has shut down a few times and seemed to be related to heat in west Texas. After a cool down, it would restart and run. It does sit for a few weeks between uses. Recently it shut down suddenly after running for about 12 hours overnight, and now will not start again. It is backfiring and sputtering. I drained the tank and changed the fuel and it did not help. My next step is to open a warranty ticket before I begin pulling off carb etc. To be continued...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Machine

Started right up like a champ. Very compact and heavy but easy to move on the wheels. Will have a transfer switch installed within a week. Looking forward to the results.

Works well and (thanks to the wheels) is easy to move around. Much better generator than its competition. LOVE the fact that it runs on both gasoline and propane!
