Very nice generator. Easy to put together as well, nothing fancy, just a few screws. Remote start is a really nice feature!

So far it has been a great unit, starts right up and performs as it should. The only thing I would like to have seen on the unit (which it does not have) is an indicator that lets you know it shut down due to low oil. The unit will shut down, but you have no way of knowing that it was due to low oil. This can be a pain in the case that the low oil sensor fails and the engine will not run. You will check the oil and see that it is okay and assume something else is wrong with the engine without ever knowing it was due to a faulty sensor because you have no way of knowing that the engine shut down because it thought it was low on oil.

Peace of mind

This WGen 7500DF arrived quickly, easy to uncrate and get started and not as loud as I expected. We live in SW Florida and went thru Irma without electricity..... I now have peace of mind knowing this will handle everything we want to throw at it.

The Absolute Best Portable Generator

I am very pleased with this portable generator. I was recently without power for 41 hours due to a bad windstorm. I had put off buying a generator because we had never been without power for more than 8 hours in over 20 years. After helping my friend remove a downed tree from his fence, he showed me his Westinghouse 7500 portable generator. I knew I had to have one. I needed one now and the only way to get one like it was to buy it online. I settled for another brand that I found locally. I was very disappointed. It cost about the same as the WGen7500DF but it didn't use dual fuel, didn't have an electric or remote start, and was 1000 watts less powerful. I took it back and bought the WGen7500DF online. I received it in just a few days. I just finished installing the proper power inlet box, wiring, and interlock kit. I was able to cut any light on in the house, run 2 freezers and a refrigerator, run my heat pump, and even watch TV. The only regret I have is not buying this generator a long time ago. You absolutely cannot beat the price, especially considering all the features it has. Look no further, buy this generator before your next power outage!

Works with propane or gasoline

You can't ask for more, I love the performance of this machine, it's unique. The price was reasonable, it fix the item. Noise level, perfect. Only I need is a generator connector adapter plug; in order to make it compatible with my travel trailer plug but other than that no problem

Great Dual Fuel Unit

I bought the dual fuel unit in order to have a reliable unit in case of another major power outage like Hurricane Florence last year. Gas only power units like I have had in the past are to difficult to maintain. We have a 500 gal LP under ground propane tank so this will provide for almost any foreseeable power outage. The gas company ran a line to the other side of the house by the electric power panels. It took only 30 minutes to assemble the unit and hook it up to the new gas line. After about 30 seconds the generator powered up and ran like a charm with and without loads. There were no problems with the battery which was used to start the unit. Overall noise level was much better than I had experienced with previous gasoline units. I am very please so far and hopefully will not have to use it but I am confident that if necessary this unit will start quickly and work very well.
Of note, it is a heavy item (207 lbs.) so having another pair of hands available to assemble really helps. No issue with moving it after assemble with one person.
