I bought this after a storm left us without power for about 4 days. We lost some food in both the refrigerator and freezer so I figured it was time to get a backup generator. This model should run most of our house except the heat pumps.

POWERFUL GENERATOR

I bought this 2 weeks ago after an ice storm and it is phenomenal. I was able to power all essential appliances with no worries. I was the only one with power the couple of days.

Solves the intended goal

I did extensive research with similarly sized units and landed on the WGEN7500DF (Dual Fuel, Electric Push Button Start w/Remote FOB). I purchased this unit a few days ago. Easily put together, wheels, feet, filled with oil in under 15 minutes. Battery was charged, unit started right up with LP mode. Tested some power tools. All worked as normal. I had a transfer switch installed at my home prior to purchase, connected and tested the unit, and it performed as anticipated. Was able to run all of the necessary lights, appliances, and forced air furnace that I had calculated prior to purchase and then some. I would say the noise level is comparable to my Briggs & Stratton Power Washer, loud standing next to, but acceptable in the house, and at the neighbors. This is an excellent unit for my intended purpose, and I am comfortable that we will be prepared for the next power disruption. I have not tested in gasoline mode yet, as I intend to use primarily with LP.
