Great Generator to use w. 30A Home Transfer Switch

As we live in a rural forested area, we recently bought this generator to use with our home's existing 30-Amp Home Transfer Switch during our frequent power outages. The 'Duel Fuel' (Gasoline/Propane) option was a major consideration for us as storing gasoline onsite was not an option. The control panel is intuitive and easy to navigate. The ruggedly-built, cast-iron engine is designed for durability and it's large wheels make it manageable by a single person to move as needed. The only slight negatives worth noting is the rather vague manual instructions regarding the possible need to remove the factory installed 'neutral bonded to ground' configuration for use with a Home Transfer Switch. Also, a factory-installed 'RV-Ready' 30-Amp Plug AND possibly a 50-Amp Plug for larger HTS' would be very helpful. Overall, this generator performed excellently during a recent power outage and we would not hesitate to highly recommend it to those who want a durable, easy-to-use and fuel-flexible generator to deliver dependable power!

Peace of mind

After recent troubles in Texas with the power grid failing we decided this wasn't going to be a regular problem for us. We are thrilled with the duel fuel options as we can store propane longer and safer than gasoline.

I really don't know why manufacturers goad you into leaving a review right after you buy a product. In this case, I'm to leave a review in order to receive a free cover for the generator, which will be helpful. So I'm leaving a review having only set it up and tested (gasoline, haven't tested propane yet).
Set up and testing went great but for one little thing. The battery was completely dead on arrival. Plugging external power into the charging port for days did not charge it up, but it did allow me to pair the remote and test starting electronically. I put in a call to Westinghouse and got some sort of go-between so am now waiting on Westinghouse to call me.
Either way you start it, it starts right up lickety-split. Happy with the purchase, but for the battery.
