Amazing Generator

I purchased this WGen 7500DF back a few months ago, 2021. I am very happy with the quality and how easy it is to start this generator. You cant go wrong with this purchase. I have tested it out and feel 100% confident that it will get me through any of my power outage challenges in Michigan. I love the dual fuel and electric start. Most people are not talking about the automatic choke, just hit the button and it starts right up.. I give it a 5 star rating..

Automatic Start Doesn't work

we bought the generator in January and thankfully we have not had to use it yet (although I am anxious to try it). When we got the generator and had it hooked up, the technician identified that the auto start button didn't work and in order for us to use the machine we would have to use the manual pull start. Due to the size, weight and cost to return the item, I chose to keep it. It is unfortunate that the auto start didn't work, as that was a selling point and probably was reflected in the higher cost than the other models. Every few months we start it up to make sure it is working in the event we loose power and so far, no issues.

Generator always has issues starting!

I have powered this generator on 3 times or so since November 2022, it always has issues starting. We have followed the directions, made sure the oil and fuel are topped off (fuel has stabilizer compound in it), the switches and settings are in the right positions, and still the thing won't start. More recently, we double checked the battery charge level which was low, so we charged it. Once we reconnected it and ensured everything was all set, the generator still wont start! We also are using the push button start option. We also tried the pull start as well to no avail. Is it me or is this particular generator just a lemon or is Westinghouse a bad brand?!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

one push and "go."

I was deciding between a B+S gas powered inverter 6500W and this WGen7500DF. Although the Inverter is suppose to be quieter and have longer run time, I decided to go with the WH because of the ability to burn both gas or propane. I like the option and porpane burns cleaner and stores better than gas. My electrician wired our house with a transfer switch. We hooked it up today. One push on the electric start and "go." So easy to to start. He was impressed. A little loud...had to talk loud to hear each other. I live in an area where we loose power for several days at a time and every year. I hope this WH will do the job. I look forward to having heat and water, (hot and cold) when the power goes out. I wished WH made a dual fuel Inverter with over 5000 watts and a 30 amp, 240v connection. The only one I could find was the Honda EU 7000 for a whopping 4 grand. Sorry, Honda. It would take me a long time in fuel cost to make up the difference for the price of this WH which was around 1 grand. I am only rating 3 because I haven't tested it yet...

Hard to leave a real review after just buying. Generator started right up out of the box on Lp. After break in and a oil change we hooked it up to the house and ran it for a couple hours. I was very happy that our ups for the TVs and computers kept right on working and didn’t mine the generator power.
I would recommend this to a friend!
