A great generator that will give you peace of mind

After going three days without power during a recent winter storm, I began researching generators and came across the Westinghouse 7500DF. It provided all the features I was looking for especially the dual gas and propane, remote start, and had great reviews. When I picked up the Westinghouse, I had numerous people at the store enthusiastically tell me that it's a great generator and i'll be very pleased with it. No sooner had I gotten it home that we had a bad snow storm hit and I lost power yet again. Except this time, I had my Westinghouse generator to keep me warm and comfortable. We fired it up and let it run for a bit before hooking up my refrigerator and some of the smaller appliances. The power came back on a few hours later, but I couldn't be happier that I had my Westinghouse generator to give me peace of mind.

Easy to use and easy to move

The generator is easy to move with the handle and big wheels. Starts easy with the push start button. We had to use the choke (hard to find) the first time to start the generator but have not had to use it since.

Set up the generator and tested it. It seemed to work fine on everything in the house. Didn't test the AC (January in Northern Michigan. Haven't had a power failure yet, but expect that it will work fine. It seem a bit loud.

We like everything about this generator but are VERY disappointed that Westinghouse is no longer offering a free cover in exchange for a fair and honest review. Was this a trick to get us here to this page? And hoping that we would leave a good review anyway? Well, we are honest people and would have left a good review anyway because it is a good product. We sure do wish we could get that free cover though.

I just received this product, but, it was easy to start and operate. It appears to have a lot of power as well and runs very smoothly. I love the three options to start the generator: start button, remote control, and pull chord in the event that battery is not adequately charged.
