Easy assembly/Easy use

We bought this generator to supplement one we already own. This one has a higher working capacity and more versatility for us. It was very easy to assemble, all parts were in a separate box, the remote fob attached to the pull handle. To install the feet and wheels, we set the generator on one of its short sides and it took about 3 minutes to get everything attached. The unit took all of the oil that came with it, but do pour it slowly as advised. We used the remote fob to start it, ran it for about 15 minutes and shut it down. Our battery came charged. Directions were easily understandable and clear. Very easy to move about and use...so far so good.

The Generator I Expected

After a good amount of research, balancing reviews on this and other generators, and needing to cover ourselves in the rampant Calif power shutoffs (expected to last for years)....I am glad for this purchase. I have 5 hours run time with the unit easily starting both on propane and gas using both start button and remote. Using my meters output showed as expected with no load and then running a 12 amp compressor on the 120v and then also the 240v 4 prong into 50ft 10g extension cord. I will hook up to entire house with transfer switch but for now extension cords are fine. Also, my neighbor thinks this is quieter than his 8000w by another name brand.

Reliable Back-up Power!

Bought this WGen7500DF just a month ago even though I had been searching for a reliable back-up power for a few months. As soon as it was available I ordered it. Shipment got delayed due to winter conditions. Setup was relatively easy even though the user manual had inconsistent information on numbering parts (the remote pairing button instruction said #17 but it was actually #19 in the picture). So far it has performed as expected but a little noisier than I expected, but acceptable. I haven't tried running it on propane yet.
With the planned blackouts in Northeastern California by PG & E it makes sense to get this generator and it makes us sleep better knowing we can keep our essential appliances working.

Easy set-up and start

Since I had to tackle this project of putting the unit together on my own for the first time, I was a bit nervous to say the least. I followed the carton opening directions and was able to successfully put the unit together. I then found the oil access( because of the photos) and filled the unit with the oil which was provided. I was able to locate all the swithches and familiarize myself with them. The gasoline was quite easy to find and fill. I stepped back and was ready! I pushed the "start" button. IT STARTED! I was amazed! I had done it!! Summary: Great directions and photos. Thank you!

Great Features, Great Price

I just purchased my WGen7500DF, primarily for use in case of power outages to run a refrigerator, portable AC, microwave, lights, fans, laptop, etc. I wanted a duel fuel generator, did extensive research, and picked this generator based on excellent customer reviews, features and price versus the competition. The generator was shipped and arrived ahead of schedule and in perfect condition. It assembled easily and started on the first push of the electric starter. I have only used it with limited equipment plugged in so far, but have an electrician coming to install a transfer switch. Based on my experience so far, I would certainly recommend this generator.

GREAT GENERATOR!

Bought this Westinghouse dual fuel 7500DF generator and i'm very very happy with it. the licensed electrician that installed the transfer switch tested the generator using gas and propane and everything was good up to specs. Now I have the peace of mind that my family has a back up power generator. hey hurricane Isaias I'm ready!

New Generator

Got it out of the box and saw that there was oil spilled all over the handle and on other parts of the generator's motor. Also, there was a deep gash on the pull start housing. Paying significant money for this, one expects to get a product that is brand new out of the box. I had to also tighten the bolts for the bracket that connects the muffler to the exhaust. Glad I found this before I was in a pinch and had to use the generator right away. I haven't started it up yet so I cant speak for how the generator works, but if this is any indication of the product, it's not looking good. Hoping these are just minor issues. But like I said, having paid this much, I would expect it to arrive brand new.
