WGen7500DF Gas Mode Issue

WGen7500 duel fuel only worked using propane. After doing my own research I figured out that the carburetor wasn’t getting fuel because the solenoid below it wasn’t opening during start up. So during start up in the gas mode I started to tap on the solenoid to free it. After the second try the generator started.

Bought my generator after Hurricane Florence came though central N.C. Wanted to be prepared for the next power outage along with the option to use gas or propane. :-). Unit was shipped on time. Unpacked and inspected it before I let the truck driver leave. Everything was in greate shape. Very clear instructions on how to do the connections to the starting battery. Filled it up with oil and started it right up. Ran it long enough to test out my 10 circuit transfer switch I wired to my main AC panel. Loved the wheels and folding handle. I makes it very easy to move and position it as needed. I would recommend this to anyone.

Excellent all around

I was tired of losing power after the last storm and wanted a generator to run almost the entire house. This unit fit the bill. The dual fuel allows me to run propane when the gas stations have no power for the pumps or regular gasoline. The auto start is intuitive as long as you remember to keep the battery charged periodically. If not there is a manual pull cord. Assembly took only a few minutes and the unit has a small foot print for the power of the unit. With any luck this was an investment I will never have to use, but if I do I know I have the proper equipment.

Easy to operate

Easy to understand directions. Fires right up and love the remote start fob. The size is great, not too big and the wheels make it easy to move if needed. All around just what I needed!

Deceptive Advertising

First and foremost, product arrived damaged as noted on several reviews. Did not affect the product as it was the frame that was damaged, still not happy that it arrived this way. Secondly there is not a cover sold for this product, therefore when they advertise for a free cover with a completed review - then they tell you that covers are no longer available - this is definitely not right. However generator does work for its intended purpose, it MUST be set on solid ground as there is an extreme amount of vibration. Power goes out a lot at our summer home so this has already been used twice and powered what we needed it to do.

Excellent Product

The generator package that arrived was amazingly easy to set up and operate. The manual is nicely displayed with simple directions with lots of photos to support the assembly narrative. All parts in one box making them easy to find. Put the wheels on, fill up with oil, put some gas into the tank and turned it on! Setting up the remote is simple as well. A very nice addition is the Westinghouse bag that holds the wrench and spark plug socket. I recommend this generator to anyone.

The dual fuel option, in case of an emergency

I just received the item, packaging can use improvement as there's paint rubbed off throughout the bottom roll cage. So I have to touch it up or that's a potential rust starter. It took 3 tries to first start up with the remote using propane. It runs quiter than a lawnmower, no vibration and has suction cups on rubber feet to avoid moving, but only on solid ground. The remote is a nice feature looks better than an alarm remote. Everything is visible, the handle bar is a good height for balance and transport. Has a fuel gauge on the gas tank. The wheels I'm still not sold because they look and feel flimsy like a toy truck tires with rubber lining. Comes with the battery not like other models. It is heavy to carry for 1 person, but can be pushed up a truck ramp, even if I have bad knees. The only concern I have is the VFT meter. It states it only registers hour only when in load. Soo what about when just running without connecting anything, will it still register the engines running time. Because if not than I'll have to add an hour meter just for the engine to keep track, otherwise the hours will be different from each other. But overall it's a good buy and investment, even though I'm not sure when I'll be using it. I just wanted to buy new products to replace my old working ones. I'd recommend it. As it can probably power up my 2 bedroom house as I rarely use power but only for the necessary items.
