After an exhaustive search of 7.5KW - 10KW dual fuel generators, the WGen7500DF offers in my opinion the best Price/Wattage price point and warranty on the market. Performs as described.

After diligent research, I went with the WGEN7500DF. It's breaking in right now, and was very easy. Just added oil (I used synthetic), hooked up the propane tank, pushed the button on the remote and it fired right up. Been running an hour with a halogen light as a load. Only drawback is I wish it had a handle on the end you must lift to move it. It's a bit heavy, but not difficult to get in and out of the garage, even over a threshold. Seems well made, and is feature laden. I hope to never need it, but we do have rural electric service and live in tornado alley, plus the New Madrid earthquake zone, so, "Be prepared!", right? Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Not overly loud, runs smoothly. I don't plan on using gasoline unless it's too cold for propane so I won't even fill the gas tank unless I need to, but I don't anticipate any problems. So far, so good!

I am a senior so it was a little difficult to move from my vehicle and get it out of the carton. This should not be a problem for a younger person. It has good instructions and easy to install all the parts and oil. I have not needed to hook-up to my electricity so can't comment on that, however, it does start right up using gas. Haven't tried propane but have no doubt that will work great also. Very easy to move once the wheels are on.
