After researching portable generators for quite some time and suffering through frequent power outages (a 6 day one last fall) we finally bought the WGen9500. It's a beast and everything the other reviews say it is. It will soon be wired into a manual transfer switch. Neighbors already came to see it and realized that doing this in the fashion we are, is a lot more cost effective than the large automatic ones that can cost 5K. I'll be building a sound reducing enclosure for it before the winter. Glad we finally have it!
I have only had the generator a few days but I like it a lot. After reading all the directions and running the generator it has a lot of built in safety features and operational features that make it easy to use.
Bought for use for our house, rental property, and farm. Researched multiple brands, sizes, and capabilities and settled on this to provide back-up power to key circuits in house, ability to run power tools at farm off-grid, and ability to run AC/DC Lincoln welder (buzz-box) in field. Electric start and remote start are great features. No issues with welding.
just needed to attach the wheels add gas and oil and she fired right up. plugged in a heat gun and ran it with no problem, Bought it to run a fridge and freezer if and when we loose power. I have faith it will work, seems to be built well.
