Easy to start low noise

I have delivered my new generator today I am very happy, I set it up wheels, gas, add oil to the motor, check for voltage on the battery for the electric start connect the battery and I give a try, it started to the first try, my first impression about this generator was the low noise level and all the amazing features it has, as an electrician I had to many ideas, it's enough to power up my house all the appliance. including my ac unit, I'm happy with this amazing equipment and another thing That I didn't expect was the service manual the electric diagrams, and a list of the part number comes on this manual normally the part numbers never come with the manual and when you need a part you has to search all over the places to find the right part.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More than my money’s worth!

I have been reading reviews and researching generators for over a year now. I narrowed my search down to what I would realistically need. The Westinghouse Wgen9500 and wgen9500df were in our top three. The third was a Honda. It came down to value, features, ease of use and service after the sale. I tested engine speed which should be (60 hertz) it was actually 59.9 which is within range. Sine wave output measured at 49 which is perfect meaning the peaks and valleys of the waveform are equal. I did not find the same on some of the other brands. This will be connected to our meter allowing us to power the crucial circuits within our home during an outage.
Features we love:
Remote start, Push to start, and recoil cord as the back up!
4 GFCI 20A 120v outlets (most comparable units came with only 2)
Wide mouth filler neck for refueling (minimize spills)
Oversized solid wheels that make it easy to roll over rocks and debris easily.
Battery, tow handle and wheel kit included (some charge extra $$$)
More wattage for your dollar.
Buy with confidence!

Ordered product on Feb. 27 through Home Depot. Received on March 9. While unpacking found the product had be struck by something on the air intake side. This damaged the intake filter housing creating a large dent and bent latch. The rest of the assembly went well with no problems. Contacted customer service at Westinghouse and a warranty claim was begun. Have not operated the generator waiting on follow up contact for replacement parts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Happy so far

Caveat...I have only assembled and started the generator. I have not yet needed to plug it in. That being said, the engine started easily, once I found and turned on the choke. It was more quiet than smaller generators I have used in the past. The electric and remote starts are great features as are the dual fuel capability, especially when a hurricane hits and gasoline is scarce. While waiting for your generator to arrive (mine took two weeks, Dorian came and went), I would suggest picking up a quart of 10W30 four-stroke motor oil. Although the unit comes with one quart, it needed approximately 1.3 quarts to get the oil level to the middle of the dip-stick.

Powers more than I thought it would!

Bought this earlier in August as preparation for possible hurricane outages as I live in suburban Houston area. Installed interlock on main panel and 50 amp generator inlet box as well as purchasing 50 amp rated cable for generator to inlet box. Tested last weekend to see what could be powered simultaneously. I found that I could power my 5 ton AC (be aware mine is true variable speed and doesn't have high inrush current) as well as 2 fridges, 1 deep freeze and adequate lighting for 4000 Sq ft home.
The generator I solid in construction and has functioned flawlessly so far, having tested it at up to 40 amps to verify 9500 watt running watts.

I researched generators for several months before selecting the WGen9500 & I’m very happy with this generator. The packaging protected it during shipping - the product was defect-free. The directions for assembly were very clear. All parts were included and fit properly. After assembly & upon filling with oil & gas, I opened the gas line & pressed the remote. Since the factory charged the battery & already paired the remote with the generator, it started right up. Westinghouse has done a great job creating a product with the right features & making it easy for the customer to use. I’m ready for the next power outage.

Just received. Delivered to home as scheduled. Simple instructions and easy setup: only steps are quick visual inspection to make sure everything appears in order, attaching two wheels and two mouting feet; adding engine oil, gas and attaching propane and connecting battey (at quick disconnect) and firing it up. Very easy start. Switching between fuel sources very easy while running. Only ran for 30 min but all power sources fully operational. One caution, this is a fairly heavy generator (about 250 lbs) so start your setup where it is easy to access until you get the wheels on it. Next step will be to see how it performs under load.
