Great bang for the $$$, awesome power and value

I live in Florida and figure that with the way 2020 is going to so, we're likely to get blasted with hurricanes all summer long, and my 6250/8500 generator of a different brand is not going to cut it for my family if we lose power for an extended amount of time. So I sold that unit and purchased this beast. First off, this is a great value, I looked at similar capacity generators from all the other major brands and this is the best value for power and overall features.
The unit was delivered to my driveway and after unpacking I was able to put the wheels and feet on in a matter of minutes. I followed the instruction manual for adding oil, connecting the battery, pairing the remote, etc. I added about a gallon of fuel for the initial break-in. It started up pretty quickly - the starter had to crank it about 5 or 6 times before it fired initially, but it has started on the 1st or 2nd crank every time since.
My initial impressions are very positive, it appears to be a very well built unit. It is noisy, but all non-inverter generators are noisy, and I actually think it is slightly less noisy than the older, smaller unit it replaced. Next step is to have an electrician install a transfer switch, stock up on beer, and then we are storm ready, and the beer will stay cold through it all!

Great size to power ratio

We live in Florida and going without a generator is not an option. The Westinghouse WGen9500 Has enough power and run time for all my requirements.

Outstanding Performance

I just had electricians hook this generator up to power our entire 2,000 SF home and when they fired it up, everything worked 3 ton A/C, 2 refrigerators, 3 bedrooms, all appliances, lights...EVERYTHING. And it didn't seem that the generator was straining to maintain power. The electricians verified that this model was top of the line (and they sell another product). True statement, one of the electricians was so impressed, he's considering purchasing the same unit. It was easy for me to assemble (I'm 72 years young) and pre-flighting was effortless. It is loud, but that's to be expected, so I'm going to build a sound box. All in all, we're totally satisfied and this unit exceeded our expectations. We honestly hope we never have to use it, but if we do, we know we'll remain comfortable during a power outage.

Simply Amazing! Right out of the box, got it oiled and gassed up an with the press of a button you hear this beast ROAR (quietly). Great exhaust system for decent idle sound, folding handle is great and the run flat tires are a huge plus for this 240lb machine rolling around in a heavy duty steel frame. My neighbor just ordered his and my other neighbor is soon to order. Definitely the talk of the street! This item will not disappoint. Thank you Westinghouse!

Very happy for this generator, supports all of my power needs. I would give it a 4.5 Stars just because the remote start fob was broken when I receive it, other then that it a very great product
