I purchased this unit as a backup power supply for my home. I followed the instructions provided and it started immediately. The only surprise was the time delay (a few seconds) after pressing the start button.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just received the generator and unboxed it. The start up instructions were easy to follow.
The generator started up the very first time! I like the electronic start, remote feature, and the plug in battery charger is handy! I feel that the generator is a very good value, and is well made .

When unpacking the generator, the battery was too weak to start. It took larger battery charger to initially start it.

Just bought my first portable generator. After researching several models, I chose the Westinghouse model for two reasons: 1) A variety of features that adequately fills my needs and 2) Value for the money paid. Although I haven't used it much yet, except for breaking it in a little, I'm confident this generator will provide top notch service for my needs in the event of an outage.
