Purchase 2 1/2 months ago. Hooked it up to my house 3 times for test runs and it worked very well. Handles all household necessities and can run just about everything. Transitioning to generator power was very smooth and almost unnoticeable. Two weeks ago someone crashed into a power pole and the power was off for approximately 4 hours while it was being repaired. WGen9500c to the rescue - kept everything running till the repairs were complete. Very glad to have this. Good fuel consumption also, after about 5 hours of use there is still half a tank.
After struggling with an undersized, pull start for the past 9 years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I live in a cold weather climate and loose power at least once a winter. Need enough power to keep the heat on and run the well pump. This should have more than enough power. It was scary how easily it started for the first time. I’m use to struggling with the pull cord and messing with the choke and hoping that my old generator would start. Don’t think I’ll have to worry about that anymore. I’m actually looking forward to my next power outage.
Recently purchased this after going through the hurricane that hit Western North Carolina. The packaging was great and the ease of minimum assemblage required was a welcome relief. Just in the testing mode currently and hopefully never need this for another emergency situation but am confident this product will perform excellently
I bought the wgen9500c a few months back but I wanted to wait before I left a review. First it was very easy to put together, basically just the wheels , two rubber antivibe pieces with brackets (opposite wheels) and the battery connection. Oh and oil & gas of course. Took 20 min maybe. It’s very heavy so plan on that if you’ll need to move before you get the wheels on it. Anyway it fired right up and runs my whole house with a central AC. it has a plug that looks like a laptop plug and you use that to keep your battery fully charged. It’s like a trickled charger without all the mess. It also comes with a key fob and you hold the button and it’ll remotely start or stop the generator. It’s a good size generator for when the power goes out or Amy other reason you would need a lot of power. My only complaints it how loud it is, it’s nothing crazy but it just seems it could be quieter. It is a large motor so it’s expected and when the hurricanes came through and I had power guess what, that sound didn’t bother me or my neighbors one bit. Overall I’d recommend this Westinghouse wgem9500c. I’ve had it about 6 months and I’m happy with it. Used it for like 2 weeks straight so far.
