Powerful Enough for Whole House Backup

The power company in rural areas of San Diego Country turns off the power, sometimes for days, during the hottest days of year, for fire prevention. I need sufficient power to run the A/C and the microwave, water heater etc. during those days. The remote start feature works great and the peak inrush current starts the a/c effectively. I particularly like the inclusion of a plug in battery charger to keep the battery fresh during the storage phase. The wheels make it easy to move and the folding handle is a convenient single piece design. Because of its compact size I store in the corner of the garage right next to the power panel. The high power output plug is an easy to get type (typical dryer plug) unlike the myriad of different twist and lock plus out there. I did quite a bit of research before selecting this model. Please give it your thoughtful consideration too.

Put oil in it and it start right first time. Love the electric start. I am ready for the next time the power goes out in my house. Thank You Westinghouse!

easy to use and move around

I bought this for emergencies and it is my first generator. Super easy to use, clear instructions. Love that it came with tools and even oil. Didn't use it for several months, added fresh gas and it started right up.

Just What I Needed

I had two options for my new workshop: 1) Hire a contractor to run a new power line to my shed, or 2) buy a generator that is powerful enough to run a welder. This generator was substantially cheaper than running a new power line to the shed, so it was a no-brainer. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It started up instantly and I used the generator to finish welding my new coal forge fire pot. This will be an excellent tool for my business.
