Nice generator but failed after only 10 to 15 uses

I bought this in late summer. We use it as our backup generator. It worked well for a while, but failed after about a dozen uses. We bought the extended warranty. The repairs are covered but not sure if the original warranty would have covered it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOVE THIS GENERATOR

Significant snowstorm left about 18 inches on the ground and thousands of trees and utility poles snapped. We were without power for 11 days with daytime temps in the 20s-30s. Our WGEN9500 kept the furnace, water heater, and well pump running throughout the outage. Not one single hiccup running it for approx. 12-14 hours a day!

Super easy start

Living in north east Ohio we have too many power outages. Bought our Westinghouse 9500 generator as a full house back up. Have only tested it once but at least we are prepared hopefully if needed in the future.

WGen9500 = Great Generator!

We've lost power multiple times in our neighborhood in last year due to old electrical infrastructure. I called an electrician to install an outdoor outlet for a generator and he recomemded this unit. We bought it and could not be happier! Its versatile, easy to setup and simply gets the job done!

I did a lot of research on portable home generators, many brands and capacities. I selected the Westinghouse 9500 with remote start for a number of reasons, the Westinghouse brand, number of years experience in home power generation and the reviews. I received it as expected, filled the oil, filled the gas, connected the battery terminals, pushed the remote start/stop and it started immediately. I am confident that this unit is going to serve me well the next time we loose power, well pump, heating, frig, lighting, etc.

Best generator in it's price range

I haven't used it beyond filling it with oil and letting it run for an hour to test, but it's a solidly built generator. Assembly out of the box was simple, just 4 bolts and 2 axle pins. I bought it because of Westinghouse's long history with electrical manufacturing, and hopefully their good reputation rings true.
I would recommend this to a friend!
