Garbage Product

I bought this thing a year and a half ago and its already stopped working. The electric start doesn't work at all and with the manual start it runs for 15 seconds. I have only ran it for maintenance every other month or so. Fortunately I have not had the need for it yet. I put in a ticket with Westinghouse a couple of months ago of course they tell me that its out of warranty. Something like a generator should last longer than a year and a half, especially if it hasnt really had to handle anything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this generator a few days ago before a tornado hit the farm, I dug it out of rubble, put oil and gas and ran for a week while power was out. I gave the item five stars. Then I emailed company to ask about a manual and buy a new gas tank and frame. I got a snarky response saying none of it was covered under warranty. I guess they thought I believed the generator was covered from tornado damage lol. After giving five stars and a glowing review. I emailed back and told them that I was just looking to buy a manual at least. They are sending a manual for free but gave me a link that says nothing about Westinghouse parts. Tried going to Westinghouse website to see if I could talk to someone, good luck with that! It’s email only. A product is only as good as the people that stand behind it. I’d have to say I’m going from a five to one star, I still don’t know what I’m missing or what came with it. And apparently they don’t care what parts you use……

Great Customer Service

I purchased an original generator in February through Home Depot. After getting the generator delivered it was found to have significant shipping damage. We contacted the GE Customer service line and was offered replacement parts or that they would work with Home Depot to replace the machine.
This is the replacement which arrived in less than 3 weeks from the original purchase. This generator was delivered in very good condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. At this time it runs well on a test and seems to be what we were looking for. Intended use is for backup power to our home since we experience frequent outages during rough weather.

I bought this before my back operation and finally I am well enough to start it ,was well worth the wait ,very excited over it. just started it for the first time today 3 months later.run nice w/remote control also

This generator is very well built and functions as advertised. My only complaint is it is VERY loud. I don't know how I will be able to run this through the night when we are having rolling blackouts with out totally upsetting the neighbors.

bought this about a month ago and I did give it a startup and it started on first pull. This has all the necessary power to run the entire 9 room house on a 50Am. Price was very good
