Great features

Worked good for 10 hours, had to fuel with gas,
Went to crank it up and smoke came out of the starter.
Couldn't pull start either.

Easy Set-Up.

My first experience with Westinghouse. So far, I am impressed. Easy Set-Up. I followed the easy directions to fill fluids, connect the battery, learn the specs, etc.. The key fob was already factory paired, because the directions to do so seamed a bit confusing at first glance. The choke appears to be automatic, but labored to adjust during initial start. I turned the generator off and restarted, resolving the issue. The key fob starter is awesome; worked perfectly out of the box. One suggestion is to relocate the battery connection as it partially obstructs access to the oil dip-stick port.
Overall score out of the box: 10. The true test, of course, will be the next big storm. Stay tuned...

Powerful Generator

I bought this generator to replace our old one that stopped working during our last storm and am so glad I did. I liked the fact that this is an electric start because my old one was a pull start and too much work. An added plus is the key fob that allows for remote start- no more running outside to pull start! Unboxing was quick and set up required putting feet and wheels on, connecting battery and adding oil(which was included) and gas. It was fairly quick and simple and directions are easy to follow. I couldn't wait to test it out. A few people mentioned how loud this generator was but I am sat it is no longer than any other generatorvi have heard and there are quite a few in my neighborhood. Starting was unbelievably easy. Key fob remote start took just a hold down of start button as did electric start but the real winner was how easy the pull start was- one pull and it started right away. This was such a a pleasant change from our last generator that took many pulls. I like the digital screen that tells you volt output, frequency, and lifetime hours to keep you up to date eith real time info and maintenance needs. There is some important information to know regarding the breaking in period but everything is clearly stated in manual. The manual states that the generator will run for 12 hours on the full 6.6 gallons of gas. The lift up handle and wheels makes it very easy to move around. I have to say I am looking forward to our next power outage now that I have this. I highly recommend!

50 amp plug will make it able to hook up to house

Bought in August for hurricane season. Going to hook up direct too house panel so I want need a lot of extension cords. I want be able to run ac or hot water heater, but, maybe ref and freezer and ceiling fans. Great generator.
