Finally a great dual fuel unit

This is a very clean, light weight generator that is easy to connect to my transfer switch that will power necessary parts of my house when the local power fails.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Generator

We had hurricane Sally then we had hurricane Zeta pass through our area. We did not have power and needed a generator for light keeping our freezer and refrigerator cold. We purchased This Westinghouse 5300 dual fuel generator. We purchased dual fuel because gas was in short supply and figured that if gas was not available we could use our propane tanks we use for grilling. This saved our food in the freezer and refrigerator. The power from this generator also allowed us to use our TV which kept us informed in what was going on in our area.

Great priced generator for residential use.

I purchased this generator last week and I am extremely happy. It runs on both Propane and Gasoline but Gasoline is more energy efficient.
For 4.7 gallons of Gasoline the runtime was 14 hrs for 1 refrigerator, 2 laptops, 3 phone chargers, 3 lights.
For 15 pounds of Propane the runtime was 8 hrs for 1 refrigerator, 2 laptops, 3 phone chargers, 3 lights.
For 4.7 gallons of Gasoline the runtime was 14 hrs for 1 refrigerator, 2 laptops, 3 phone chargers, 3 lights.
For 15 pounds of Propane the runtime was 8 hrs for 1 refrigerator, 2 laptops, 3 phone chargers, 3 lights.

Great Choice

After searching and reviewing all generator brands, I am glad I choose this WGen5300DFv. Started on first pull after checking all the settings are in the right place. Switched to Propane tank easily and without problem. This was ordered on line and picked up in store in intact box. Hope to use this generator to power my sump pump, freezer and some lights in case of power outage. I believe I made an excellent choice.
