Solid Build/ Runs Well

For the price point, this is a really good purchase. Prior to purchase, I researched all of the generator models, watched a ton of YouTube video reviews, and found this model to be the best bang for the buck. There are a bunch of reviews of poor packaging with damaged parts upon arrival and mine arrived to my porch delivered, by Fedex, on it's side and I feared the worst. I drug it in my garage, opened the box and to my amazement, not a single scratch on my new power source (see pic). The unit is much quieter than I thought it would be and started on the first pull. I live at 7034' and I strongly recommend purchasing the high altitude kit when going much above 3000'. You need to reduce the amount of fuel going into the carburetor so as to arrive at the proper fuel/air ratio. A lot of generator owners skip this step. One cannot cheat this this lower oxygen level condition at higher elevation and the upgrade is critical to preventing the spark plug from fouling and for maximum efficiency.

Bought this product, had to exchange, that one would not work, had to go to recommended repair shop, they went back and forth with warranty co. with parts, etc for 6 months, and warranty co finally to send another. This one will start, have not used yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Westinghouse Generator

The Westinghouse Generator I purchased was the WGen5300DFv. This generator has what I was looking for; dual fuel (gas and propane) with a pull chord to start. The price was excellent and a great value. This will be used as a backup generator in case of power outages. The wattage is enough to power most of the items in the house. Would definitely recommend!!

Seems easy enough

I bought this last week to prepare for an ice storm. Fortunately, I didn't have to use it as we did not lose power. Nice feeling to be prepared for trouble as we are under a new winter weather advisory for tomorrow.

Very quiet at 25 feet

Love this machine starts on 1st or 2nd pull, it is very quiet I use mid grade 89 octane and get 12 plus hours on a 4.7 gal. Tank of gas and the dual fuel feature will be very useful this summer when I travel
