Flexible fuel source

We bought this to keep in the event that we have a hurricane and have a power outage. I like the fact that I could use propane or gas whatever fuel is readily available. It has more than enough wattage to run my refrigerator freezer and my portable floor AC unit, and more.

Pretty reliable, easy start, relatively quiet

I purchased this just over two years ago, used maybe 150hrs, then it quit. It started a real slight clatter, then nothing. No compression. I've had it sitting about 6mos now. Finally got the time to look into it. Low-n-behold, a valve retainer broke, valve dropped into cylinder, piston pushed it up through the head. Good thing about it, it only cracked the piston (didn't break it, no scaring in the cylinder) just the top end rework.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great generator

Once I realized this model didn't have remote start, I was very worried it would be hard to pull. I'm so glad my fears were unwarranted. I use propane and it's very easy to start. It completely powers my travel trailer while on the road. I'm so happy I bought this.

WORKS FOR ME

PERFECT FOR MY RV NEEDS AND A REASONABLE EMERGENCY BACKUP FOR THE HOUSE. Unpacked, added oil, and a 20# propane bottle, headed to the woods to cut small trees with my electric chainsaw. Started on first pull! I'm pleased.

Open box and set up

Just bought and unboxed instructions were easy to understand and set up all notes and diagrams were simple for anyone to use which is great if I'm not home and my wife or relatives need it in emergency. Only thing I would say is my shed is higher off the ground, about 4 to 6 inches, the wheel base is really low. Four wheels would make it a lot easier to load onto platforms instead of the two back wheels.

I Purchased this generator after our power had been out for two days and I was in a bind. Worked great from the get-go, produced enough power to take care of our needs. Would definitely recommend. Great value for the price.

My new Westinghouse Generator

We bought our generator to provide peace of mind for power outages here in Southwest Florida. After Hurricane Ian we realized a reliable and name brand generator was essential for restoring temporary power. After a lot of research, we chose the WGen5300DFcv. It was a price we could afford and a brand name we could trust. Unpacked, added oil and gas and it started after 3 pulls. We are not wishing for another Ian, but I feel good about being better prepared for future outages now.
