I bought this to prevent loosing frozen meats & food. It felt great to be one of a few in my neighborhood with power after a recent lightning storm.
Using propane as a fuel source was simple & reliable.

Bought this after having no power for a day. Power company suggested several days until fixed so decided to make the purchase. This was an easy choice considering the great price! Plenty of power for our needs running well pump, fridge, lights and ceiling fans. The generator came with everything needed (except power cords and fuel) and the quick start guide was easy to follow.

We are in Texas with record heat and a weak power grid, and bought this, just in case, to run the necessities - will power everything we really need and more - got a watt/amp/volt meter and surprised at how little some of our appliances pull

I bought this on the was to AirVenture in Oshkosh. I took it out of the box and it started after 3 pulls. Since then it has started after one pull. It will be good for at home in case of an emergency.

We are very pleased with this purchase! Started right up with the first pull to start! Assembly was super easy, only had to put on the wheels and feet!! We would 100% purchase another one if needed and highly recommend!

Great Generator for the price

Works great on my camper and for emergencies. Runs quite awhile on 1 tank of premium gas and the propane feature as backup is nice. I like the multiple plug options and voltage settings. I only wish it was a bit quieter but compared to some more expensive models it beats them.

I just bought this and it runs great. Moderately loud. Unit is very heavy even when rolling with wheels.

I needed a dual fuel generator and after doing some research I found the 5300DFv. My use is the rare occasion during storm season. I have an 1,800 square foot house and I like to run most of it during outages. Having the dual fuel option enables me to use propane which means I don't have to deal with gasoline storage. I didn't buy a generator for years because I couldn't get past dealing with the gasoline logistics (I'll probably never need it now that I have it :-)) The initial investment in 20 lb tanks is higher but I'll have them forever and the propane won't go bad like gasoline. Yes I can use gas stabilizer but it will only last so long. Inevitably it will go bad. I suspect it will be easier to exchange or refill the tanks with propane during a hurricane event than waiting on line for gas. Propane exhaust stinks less than gasoline and there's much less risk of fire with propane vs gasoline. That said, if I were to use the generator on a regular basis, I would definitely use the gasoline option as it is a more cost effective fuel and I would use it up as needed.
I did the break in process and it's not that loud compared to others I've heard in the neighborhood. Should have enough power to handle my house with periodic running of my central air to keep the humidity in check. Really happy with the purchase.
