We ordered our generator on the 23rd of June this year and received it on the 28th. On July 5th it was called into service; We hadn't even put the oil in it! But we got it set up, got the extension cords out, and it worked like a champ for the full 4 hours that we needed it. We have a 5300, which is adequate for my wife and I to keep the fridge, TV, wi-fi router, and a few lamps going. If we need it in the morning, we can get the coffee maker plugged in as well.

I spent several weeks researching portable generators from different manufactures and for the price and the features I chose the Westinghouse WGEN5300, it has all the features I was looking for like the twin fuel options, and it was easy to put together and easy to move around.
I would recommend this to a friend!

there is no hour meter with this generator. so how am i suppose to keep track of the hours??? this to me is a very bad design flaw. my wife ordered this and i would think it would have come with an hour meter !!!! unhappy in erin , ny

This generator is so easy to use. The quick start guide has simple step by step instructions to get started. Switching between gas and propane is a breeze. I love that it’s on wheels- it is very heavy so the handle and wheels are essential to moving it around.
I would recommend this to a friend!
