Easy to start, very strong!

We needed a new meter box & were without power for 2 days. We bought the WGEN5300DFV because it had enough power to keep our appliances going & was very affordable.

Great value for the price

I Bought this Generator for backup power in case of a power outage. I haven't needed it yet but tied it in to my transfer box at home and simulated a power fail a couple of times now. I was quite happy with the performance of this gen. I powered a water well pump, Sewer pump, Electric hot water heater microwave, and a couple of the circuits. I did not max out the suggested amperage limit but got close. The gen only throttled up when the Hot water heater or the well pump kicked on, but settled down immediately. I would recommend this generator to anyone seeking one for the same reason.

Plenty of power

Overall I've been really happy with my purchase. For our situation, this will have plenty of juice to run a sump pump, fridge, freezer, well pump, and so on. It's nice that they include the oil for start up, and best of all is the dual fuel potential. Being able to seamlessly switch over to a 20 or 30 lb propane tank if gas becomes scarce is perfect for us.
The one thing I wish they included was in the directions, I wish they had the instructions for breaking in the engine/motor. You can find them on the internet if you search for it, but including breaking in instructions would have been something I thought they would have/should have included.
That being said-this thing should last us and living in the extreme rural north...I'm sure we will get lots of use out of it.
