Wow, Great generator, feature rich, yes pull start

Took photos all sides before unboxing.
Noticed no damage.
Assembled the generator per instructions. Went great, tools provided. Levered stationery end up, rolled into my basement.

Another possibility of a storm, so I need to do the break-in run. Filled with correct oil and quantity, funnel provided. Added gasoline. Ready to run. Opened fuel valve, verified gasoline not propane, ON, 120V, choke on, started on first pull. Let it warm a bit. Turning choke off. Walking around looking noticed air filter latch loose, not camed-over tight. I tried latching it a couple times only to discover the latch was broken. The rivet was bent in the middle and not long enough to go through the lever where it pivots from. Pulled the rivet down to see if I could straighten it. I was disappointed, don’t know if I can get a replacement latch and rivet.
I am satisfied with the cranking, displays power, reasonable quite, like my push lawn mower.
I checked it out with some lights and a circular saw. Didn’t phase the governor. So we have enough for emergency power needs.
I have a much smaller generator and it would support a freezer and refrigerator, nothing else. We need more than that for colder weather.

EASY TO GET UP AND RUNNING

The Westinghouse dual fuel generator we bought works great. It was easy to get it up and running. Very minor assembly (basically putting the wheels and rubber boots on the frame) and adding the engine oil was very easy since Westinghouse provides everything you need to do it, even a funnel with a hose for the oil. The instructions for setting it up and putting it into operations are simple and easy to understand. Works great on both gas and propane, easy to switch between the two. No problem to operate for my wife or me.

I set it up, followed instructions, pulled the cord and it started on gasoline. Turned it off, attached propane and it started right up on propane. Plugged in tool and it worked great. Glad to have it. Wish the wheel kit was in the box as advertised.

Happy I bought this generator

I bought this thinking it was an electric start but it is not, considered taking it back but pulled on the handle and it seemed pretty easy so followed the start up instructions, hooked up the propane tank ( didn’t want fuel sitting in it until hurricane season, but wanted to see if it would run) gave a couple of pulls and it started. I let it run for the hour break in period and it really isn’t that loud, has a hum verses a high pitch sound. There were no damaged parts and all parts and tools were accounted for. I would definitely recommend this generator, it’s not too heavy to move and like the way the pull handles folds down out of the way.

Love the dual operating feature

I had a generator but upgraded to this model for the alternative fuel or propane and do to recent snow storm here in Grand Prairie Texas it was much needed and my family thanks you for making such a wonderful machine
