Very happy with purchase. Excellent quality build. Generator is easy to operate and has numerous features. Easy to transport using handle and wheels. I highly recommend this product.

Easy start and runs great!

I had been putting off buying a generator for over a year because I thought they would be hard to start up and difficult to figure out how to hook up equipment. The Westinghouse Gen5300DFV washed all those fears away within the first few minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and starting up with propane was a breeze. I love the option to run on propane or fuel and starting was super easy on both. This will be a great generator for any emergency use!

First Generator

Easy setup for first time generator owner. Nice user manual. Appears to be very well constructed. It was well packaged with all listed accessories. Compact design and will be relatively easy to roll in and out of storage awaiting our next hurricane and/or winter ice storm power outage.

I bought this 2 weeks ago for power outages. Easy set up.
Started on first pull after adding oil and hooking up to propane tank.
Ran flawlessly for 30 min with volts and Hz readings perfect.

Starts easy, and seems to supply power....BUT

I opened the package, assembled and started as instructed, no problems there. The system appeared to be generating appropriately so I decided to plug in a radio to my 110 outlet and that's when I noticed the outlet was not secured properly so when I tried to plug the radio in, the 110 outlet just pushed inside the generator protective housing.... I'm sure that's not the way the plug is supposed to function as it seems very unsafe and a clear shock hazard. The other outlets are solid and can be used, the engine started on the second pull, and assembly was very easy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
