Solid Generator

I recently purchased this generator to use as emergency power for our home. It arrived a week earlier than predicted and everything was in great condition. After getting it all set up, I tested it out and it worked perfectly. I've got it stored away now and I'm looking forward to having the option to use both gas and propane to run the generator.

I received the unit and inspected all around and found an air cover clip broken off. There were some slight bends in the frame, but nothing to keep it from operating. I filled the generator with oil and gas and ran the 1 hour break-in and then plugged in a space heater that put a load on and no problems. I plan to store it until I have the house wired to accept generator power and that will be the test.

Excellent So Far

I just finished putting this together and starting it up. The instructions were simple and easy to understand, and it's out there running through its break-in period right now. It started on the first pull, first time! Amazing! I was expecting to have to pull the cord at least twice! Nope. I am looking forward to using it to plug my RV into here at the house, 'cuz where I park it there is no shore power. Also, since it will generate 240v, I am going to have an electrician wire a plug for my well pump, so when I lose electricity during the coming apocalypse (just kidding), I can plug it into my generator and still have access to water. Good deal, Westinghouse!

I wanted a Dual Fuel unit, and this fits the bill. Also I like that it comes with a wheel kit, and covered outlets. Both bonus items. The user manual is complete and easy to understand. Very happy with this purchase.
