Exactly what I was looking for!

I bought this and so far it has been great. Easy to set up and start. So far I have only run it on propane. The only issue I had was some dents and scratches from shipping.
My father in law bought a different brand and I helped him set that one up as well. I have to say the Westinghouse was much easier to set up and the instructions were much easier to read.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps life normal!

I really love this generator. We seem to lose power mostly during Winter storms. I trust Westinghouse products. This unit provides a solid 5300 RUNNING watts on gas. I just have to plug in the L14-30 cable, flip the switch to 240V, start the engine and my whole house is powered up. No, we’re not able to run everything in the house all at the same time on 5300 watts, but during a power outage we are able to run almost everything in our house (stove, microwave, water heater, furnace, etc.) to keep our family and our home safe and comfortable. I like the fact we don’t have to trip over extension cords laying everywhere all over the floor, and no longer have to fish those cords through an open window while stuffing towels in trying to keep the cold air out. There’s no electric start, but my unit starts on the first pull. Dual fuel capability, built in cushioned folding transport handle, runtime/voltage/frequency meter for monitoring the electrical output – love these little added features. And it came with the wheel transport kit (something many other companies make you buy separately). I found it to be a dependable portable generator at a super great price. This unit truly makes life a LOT more “normal” when the power goes out!

New generator failed the first time I needed it.

My wife purchased this for me last Christmas. I tested it and seemed ok. Placed in storage and when The hurricane came through and I needed it to at least to keep our food cold and run our lift pump for our septic, it wouldn’t stay running. I had new gas, the oil was clean, air filter looked good, even added octane boost and it was just running rough until it quit. Then I noticed it is leaking a little gas out of the bottom of the carburetor bowl. Now I’m throwing out all of our food and if the power doesn’t come on soon, will need to find a hotel as my septic will be full.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEWARE!! Piece of junk that will not start

I bought this generator before Hurricane Ian hit Florida. After the hurricane I tried to start it and was unable to. I followed the starting instructions to the letter. I finally was able to start it the following day after trying for over an hour. When I had to turn it off to change propane tanks, it would not start again. I tried for 2 hours. It is ridiculous it is that difficult to start this machine. Never again will I buy a pull start generator. Beyond frustrated!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything I expected

I bought the Generator a week ago and it was delivered today, a week before the scheduled delivery. The directions were very good and I did not have any trouble installing the wheel kit. The generator started on gasoline with the first pull and I ran it for about an hour without any load. The shipping box did not show any damage and I was very pleased with the delivery.

Good features, dual fuel, low noise, easy starting

Bought this unit for backup after being without power during hurricane Sally. I compared features with other generators and this one had what I needed, great reviews and good company that stands behind their products. I did the one hour break-in using propane, low noise and ran very clean.

Cuts off after a minute or so...

I bought on 08/21/20. Started up with no problems. Tried to restart 2 weeks later and will not stay running. I will contact customer support and keep everyone posted.
