This generator was very easy to assemble the few required pieces such as the legs and wheels. The overall appearance of this model is very nice. It has sufficient outlets for most needs and applications. It can be configured for standard 110 voltage and two outlets for 220 volt applications either 3 or 4 plug. The choke settings are easy to read. The fuel settings are simple and easy to understand. The power switch is easy to use as well as the voltage selector for either 110 or 220 volts. It is a good medium duty generator in terms of the wattage and amperage produced 5300 watts and 30 amps. It is sufficient enough to power my whole house for the most essential items such as my furnace, refrigerator and some small appliances, the most important being my COFFEE MAKER and some lighting applications. I intentionally pushed the unit and the fuses operated properly. The carbon monoxide alert is a nice feature and functioned properly when I tested the generator in my garden shed. The folding design of the handle to move the unit is far superior to other designs. It has two mounts on both sides of the frame and the handle folds neatly down. The only minor downsides are the system display and adding oil. It would have been nice if the generator oil capacity was a full quart instead of approximately 75% of a quart. The funnel to add the oi is DEFINITELY needed. It could have been just a little longer by approximately two inches so a better bend could have been achieved to add the oil. The display would have been MUCH better if it included wattage and amperage being drawn. Overall though I give it 5 STARS.

Saved us during Hurricane Beryl 2024

I bought this generator when I was pregnant with my now 2 year old because a hurricane was coming our way. That hurricane didn't hit us, and we kept the generator in the garage. Our power just went out Monday July 8, 2024 and we were without power for 5 grueling days! We pulled out our generator and it saved us from the heat. We plugged up a window air conditioner, 1 refrigerator, 2 metal floor fans, 8 cell phones, rechargeable flashlights, 2 ipads, ear buds, a lap top, and 8 of us slept in our game room together. My brother and sister in law were so happy when they heard us plug up the generator (they live next door), and they came knocking at our door asking if we turned on the air conditioner yet. We were so happy that the westinghouse generator kept us cool for these past 5 days especially since we have a special needs child with a 2 heart defects and cerebral palsy. She can't handle the heat. I really want a bigger generator because we wanted to plug up more things, but we plugged up what we could to stay comfortable. If we plugged up too many things the generator would make noises and turn off. We did have extension cords with surge protectors. With everything plugged up we had to put gas in every 11 hours or so. We had 5 bottles of 5 gallon gas cans and literally camped out in our gameroom until our power came back on.

Great portable power with accessories.

I bought this generator a few days ago. I ran the generator through its break in period and now we are ready if we have a power outage due to storms. It came with wheels and a pull handle where others do not initially come with. The generator ran smooth on gas and propane. I was surprised and it was not as loud as I expected . I have bought many different Westinghouse products from air conditioners to bass tubes when I was a teenager. I have never had problems with this name brand in any products. Westinghouse makes most of the steam generators at power plants that supply your home power. If it is good enough for nuclear plants, it is just right for me.

Hurricane Necessity

Hurricane Milton. Lost power. Filled the oil, filled the gas - 3rd pull and it hummed beautifully! Thank you! My husband is on oxygen and this generator was a blessing. She's a beauty!

This is the best investment I have made in a long time! The price was great the performance was awesome and I would definitely buy another one if I had to. So easy to operate that my mom could do it. It powered multiple appliances when we needed them the most unit ran 4 days straight without a hitch due to power loss from hurricane Milton.

Bought this in preparation for hurricane season and ended up needing to power my house for 24 hours. This generator was a life savor. It was easy to use and it fired right up after adding gas and oil. I’ve done one oil change so far and it was very simple. Overall great product for the money.

I recently purchased this generator to supply power to our travel trailer while we wait for the installation of electrical poles on our property and the construction of our new home. So far, this generator has successfully powered our travel trailer without any issues. One improvement I would recommend for this model is to include a remote start option, as I have trouble starting it with the starter pulley. Like many others, I lack the upper body strength needed for this task. Additionally, a slightly quieter operation would be appreciated. Nonetheless, the Westinghouse generator was purchased due to its significantly lower noise level compared to our diesel generator.
