Best investment I made when moving out

I bought this generator a few weeks after moving out of my moms place, the new place we are renting does not have solar panels/backup batteries so we decided to invest in a generator we could take with us anywhere we moved and it’s one of those things you assume you will not use often but we do!! The generator always starts up quickly and easily and we have not come up on any issues with it and we are almost coming up on a year with it. Very happy with this product

Troublesome Starting Coil

The pull string for the starting coil tangles nearly every third time I go to start it and I have to remove the coil to untangle the string. I believe the return spring in the coil is underpowered or pit of dimensional spec. Once the generator is running, it runs great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Saves my shoulder

It’s great that the electric start works so well!
I injured my shoulder and pull starting my generator did not help! After 20 min of barely being able to turn my generator over, I went inside and shopped for a new generator that had electric start! I found the Westinghouse 5300 dual fuel was the perfect fit for my power needs for my home!
Out of the box followed the instructions and I had power to service my home needs!
Purchased the wheel set and makes it easy to take out of storage and wheel outside!
Also great value for what I needed!

Plenty of power

Assembly was very easy and fast. Poured in the oil (provided)I started with propane and it started right up. Transferred to gas and it started right up. This unit will be used for power outages to keep my: freezer, refrigerator, internet, chargers, laptop with power to spare for a small heater. I made a great choice and very happy with my purchase.

Great Features, Just what I wanted

Purchased a couple weeks ago and just got it today. Read through the owners manual, added the oil, plugged in battery. I pulled the start rope 5 or 6 times with the power off to circulate the oil a bit and attached the propane tank. Turned the power back on and hit the starter(do not have to hold button down) and the generator fired right up. I only let it run for a couple minutes with no load but looking forward to using it for some winter camping soon.
