WGen 5300 DFV Generator

Powered my sump pumps all night log during a power outage with no problems. It easily handled the startup current of both pumps with no problem. The lights we also had on never flickered during the pumps frequently starting. Generator was relatively quiet and ran for 8 hours on a single 30 lbs. propane tank.
I would recommend this generator to anyone.

Great Emergency Backup Generator

I bought this generator so that I could have the flexibility of gasoline or propane to recharge my DIY home battery bank. Everything works as expected. Once I figured out the instructions the generator started easily on propane with just a couple of pulls. Ran my battery chargers just fine.

Just bought this generator and took it out of the box. Don’t everything you need is included! Don’t forget to add the oil before starting. Once started, it cranked up on the first try and ran no problem. Going to use as a backup power generator. Glad I bought this brand!!!

WGen5300DFcv Great Initial Impression

I Just bought it. It was quick and easy to attached the wheels and legs (10mm wrench provided). The pre-measured motor oil installed nicely by slowly pouring the entire bottle down the provided screw in funnel (well worth saving for future oil
changes). I did need a 3/4 or 19mm wrench to connect the flair fitting propane line to generator. Do not over tighten! Just tight enough to seal not come loose while running. Followed starting instructions on generator. About 8 to 10 easy gentle pulls brought it to life on propane for the first time. No need to jerk it like a mad man or pull it all the way to the end of the cord. A petite woman or fair size teen should be able to start it. Once warm it started easily on first pull with choke on (at least for propane). Came with 10mm/13mn open end wrench, spark plug wrench and nicely bound manual that included routine maintenance procedures. To check oil level, the manual says to "Clean the oil dip stick and re-seat it inside the oil fill hole. Do not thread the dipstick." I thought most oil dip sticks should be fully inserted/screwed in to check oil level correctly. In any case, with the provided pre-measured oil installed oil covered about 1/3 of the cross hatched operating range without screwing it in and about 3/4 of it when fully screwing in dip stick. Sound level is very reasonable and obviously not silent. I plugged my RV into it and turned on my achient 11000 BTU roof top AC. It seemed power it quite easily and with less effort than my gas powered Troy-Bilt 5000 watt conventional generator.

Issue upon first use

After opening my package everything looked and felt good. I got everything install, and was ready to fire up my generator. But, it didn't happen. My recoil handle went limp, and I couldn't generate enough power to fire up my generator. I am highly disappointed with my product.

Bought this as part of hurricane planning in South FL. This unit was so easy to set up! I like that they have the quick start instructions on the side of the unit. Generator also has the option for propane or gasoline so that's an added bonus. Definitely would recommend!
