Affordable, Quality Generator-many great features!

Purchased this a couple of weeks ago after ALOT of research on generators in this size/category. This weekend Hurricane Helene knocked out power to my house and we were very happy to have this available to keep home essentials running! We were quickly about to get this unboxed, assembled, and running. It has many desirable features built-in (dual fuel, wheels, handle, digital display/hour meter, easy fuel drain, etc) and it appears that it is built to last many years if properly maintained.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this generator a year ago in preparation for the next major storm. Generator sat in its box in the shed for a year until Hurricane Helene hit us the other day. Broke out the generator, added the oil that came with it, hooked up the propane, and it fired right up with no issues whatsoever. My WGen5300DFv worked straight out of the box after sitting for a year. I am happy to say I am truly blessed at the performance and power of this model. I was running 2 floor fans, light, 2 refrigerators, and my deep freezer with ZERO ISSUES or Concerns. THANK YOU Westinghouse for an outstanding product. You bailed me out when needed and as I stated before I am truly thankful.

Bought another brand and it wouldn't start. Returned it and bought the Westinghouse WGen5300DFcv. It was very easy to set up. Was the same price as the other brand and had more features and more running watts and peak watts. It started on the very first pull. It has falf the noise of my old generator and vibration is minimal. I ran two freezers, a refrigerator, and a couple of lights and a fan with no trouble. It looks sturdy and it looks good.

I had to replace our 32 year old generator. This is the first time that I purchased a product that can use either gasoline or liquid propane, and can be switched on the fly. Nice feature to have if you need to use both in the event of an extended outage. Only thing I plan to add is a weather proof top cover to keep out rain or snow when it is used in the open. Nice to see that technology allowed for a smaller and lighter unit.
