Runs great! Little difficult to start though…

Bought the unit a week ago. It’s still in the break in period, so I can’t keep my expectations too high. Unfortunately, it’s been a bit difficult to start while using propane. I followed the instruction manual to a T. It’s required many, many pull starts to fire up. I haven’t tried gas yet, and have intention to do so soon. Once going, it powers everything I need it to, primarily the deep freezer if my power goes out. This thing is a powerhouse! Max wattage on my large deep freezer is only about 1:10th of the max wattage of the generator. I’ve got plenty of room to use on other appliances if needed. I never want our power to go out, but I know this Westinghouse generator will power our critical items during such times.

Worth the money

I purchased this generator for the peace of mind when our house loses power. We live in an area with really bad storms and tend to lose power quite frequently, last time a really bad storm hit we lost power for several days and lost was lost due to it. I feel so much better now that I have this generator. It was easy to assemble and the instructions are very well written and easy to follow along.

Outstanding generator

This generator is a great one to have. I purchased this almost a year ago or maybe more to actually take to my RV by the beach. Living in hurricane prone area prompted the first purchase of a generator over 25 years ago. Stayed in garage on top of my large generator that has 2 flat tires. Being a little ol’ lady, moving the big generator was not going to happen. Wheels on this one are the never flat type. The same will be going on the big generator soon. But back to the program. I just experienced a heck of a storm on 05/16. No power for 5 days. So out comes this baby. Wheeled it to the back yard. Plugged in the house. Presto! Power, not strong enough to run central A/C, but ran the portable A/C just fine. Along with my 2 freezers and 2 refrigerators. Even able to do laundry and run my coffee machine. All at the same time! It ran for almost 9 hours on 4.7 gallons of high octane gas. On standby I had two 20lb propane tanks. For the “just in case” I did not feel like getting more fuel. I am so very happy with this purchase. Very efficient and easy to start. Even for a little old lady like me.
P.s. just remember to turn off the petcock valve to ensure all fuel runs out of the generator and to always treat your fuel with a stabilizer for storage. Start your generator at least once a year to ensure its there for you when in need.
