Great unit, I really like the propane option

I went with this unit because it had dual fuel and one of the few smaller gen sets that had 240 volt. I had read some reviews in which the unit some have purchased had dents. Dents don't really matter to me, I could care less as long as the unit works as stated. So I did end up with a dent on the recoil, but discovered it after I assembled it. So I took the recoil off and hammered out the dent, no big deal. I am mindful of the amount of resources it takes to make such a unit, so therefore I am willing to take on these types of repairs and determined to make it work. The recoil did work, but it rubbed and I was concerned that in time it might cause other issues. It is electric start, but still thought I should fix it. Also, COVID 19 has made things a little off these days and so I thought I'd just do what ever it takes to keep the unit. I also had another issue, but when I called the service line, they quickly responded by sending me another part for the unit. So, I felt like I had to work to get this unit up to par, but again, COVID and things are just tough all around. I like the unit, its not as loud as I thought, so that's a plus. So I also like to tinker and its not an issue for me. I would still purchase this unit again because of the support I was able to receive from the company. Its a good unit, I really believe in doing my part, keeping some employee employed somewhere is also important to me. I do like the design of the unit as well. Great buy!

Simple to set up and get going; good directions

Fairly simple to set up and get going. 3 things I didn't love: (1) I started it for the first time in my driveway which has a very, very small incline. Because the gas line comes out one side of the tank, and I had that side at a higher elevation, wouldn't start at first. Turned unit around, and it started. Maybe the tank needs more slope. (2) the battery connector blocks prevents easy access to oil dip stick; and (3) screwing dipstick back in is a little difficult - hard to get threads perfectly aligned. Other than these 3 things, I think it's a very cool and appears to be good product. Hope I never need it!

I purchased this generator for remote and home backup. Everything was in the package and was super easy to put together. Instructions were very understandable. The unit started up immediately both in propane and gas mode. I was quite pleased with the low level of noise! I am ordering the house connection as it was the only thing not included in the package. Hopefully we will never need it for a home backup but has plenty of power to keep all our appliances operating!

Dual Fuel Generator!

Bought the generator for emergencies. Broke the generator in for 1 hour, and it ran great. I used the propane fuel option, shut the valve on the tank and it ran out the fuel within seconds. Now ready to store away for emergency power.

All of the features that this product has cannot be found in a similarly priced product (from a reputable brand). Westinghouse products have excellent reputations and all of the features in this dual-fuel model are fantastic. The range on the remote was much further than I expected and this is the quietest open frame generator I have owned.
