Outstanding portable generator

Finally bought a portable generator. ‘Been wanting one for many years…………….
I’ve done a lot of homework, reading reviews, watched youtube videos and I decided on this brand and model. It’s Westinghouse model WGen5300DF.
5300 watts (lower using propane), so just enough to power the necessary items during power outage such as my gas furnace, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, gas hot water heater, TV, Modem and WiFi.
The most important here is heat. When power goes out in the winter time and we don’t have heat we will have to stay in the hotel as it gets too cold inside the house. So now I’m good when power goes out.
So far Im very impressed with it.
Product quality is really good, features are outstanding. Has a 3 year warranty.
Noise per manual is 68db so its about as loud as my gas powered high pressure washer. Not that bad.

It’s dual fuel (gas & propane) electric start, small & compact, also has remote control for remote start. What a nice feature.
Came complete with oil, funnel, spark plug wrench, etc. I added the oil as instructed, hooked up my propane tank, pushed the remote start and it started right up.
Highly recommended.
Im installing a Transfer Switch next.
I plan on buying a generator tent or build a dog house with cooling fans so I can safely operate it during snow or rain.
If anyone has any tips on how to further reduce the noise level kindly share please. I don’t want to bother my neighbors. I’ve watched youtube videos & so far the most effective is just 4 plywood sheets angled to the ground.

wgen5300df. arrived 1 1/2 weeks faster than promised. Box wasn't even damaged. All was complete and undamaged, looks great Hint before I instaled last wheel I laid it on its side to put in the oil. Works great on camper a/c with microwave at the same time. love the remote. When starting without auto start finding the choke to turn on then to get turned off after it fires is tricky. Going to ad a small piece of fuel tube on choke leaver so it will be easier to find. Best power and options for the money. Hint,,, to change the break in oil. Lift one side till the drain plug can be pulled w out dripping. screw in small clear fuel tubing check plug size for tube size, drain, then lift again to add oil. Charger was missing but not a big deal.

Good features

I just brought the unit home. I starts up easily with the remote starter - very nice feature. That is an important feature to me so my wife can easily start the unit if I’m not home and the power goes out. Simple to mount the feet and wheels. One problem - the battery charger is missing. Submitted a service note to get a replacement. In general, pretty happy with the unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Generator would not function beyond 8 hrs. Had to shut down & restart to activate generator.

My father in law and me were looking for something reliable that could be used in an emergency or for just taking with us when we go camping. This was the PERFECT piece of equipment anyone could ask for! Remote start, push start, gas or LPG, there are so many good things on this bad boy. Easy to assemble out the box and started up on the first try. I would recommend it anyone hands down! Thank you.
