I bought this to replace a Coleman about the same wattage. This thing is nice! The wheel kit and electric start makes this for me.

Just bought this dual fuel WGen5300 a few weeks ago, just in time for a huge storm.
I hooked it directly into my all house manual transfer switch. Using propane, it powered the whole house(did not try electric dryer which would likely exceed).
Worked amazing. So nice to have a propane option that will last 10+ hours per tank. We can run gasoline to last longer, be more efficient for longer outages...but the propane burns cleaner, smells less, and is a little less noisy. Great options!
Propane fired right up!
Gas did not, however "moving the fuel to open" switch at the rear of the unit was not in the super nice "quick start" guide. Once I turned that in, gasoline fired right up, too.
Hopefully this lasts a long time!

Dual fuel (LP & gas), 30 amp RV connection for main breaker box, and 240-volt outlet makes a great combination of features that I wanted for my residence emergency generator.

Using Propane-Easy to Start

I bought it 2 weeks ago to go with the travel trailer we are using. An electrical engineer friend of mine taught me that "Amps X Voltage = watts drawn....With a 30 AMP plug, that means my trailer has a maximum draw of 3600 watts. This unit has 4800 running watts on propane so we can run both the air conditioner and the micro and not tax the generator!!!!!. The unit started the first time and it has a 30 Amp plug that fits right into our trailer plug..
I would suggest the following:1. On the first time, run the unit without a load for 1 1/2 hours and then change the oil. This assures that any assembly particles in the engine gets removed at the outset. 2. If you use propane (I recommend for a whole alotta reasons), get some teflon tape from your hardware store and use it on the male connectors for the propane hoses. Makes screwing on much easier and assures no leaks . All in All, I am very satisfied :-)

Perfect size generator, not too heavy

I unboxed today and it was easy to set up. It fired up almost right away running off propane, I haven’t tried gasoline yet. The remote control was easy to program and worked well. My only complaint is it’s louder than I expected. Also, I didn’t realize the generator requires a high altitude kit to get its full potential. It loses about 3.5% power rating for every 1000 feet above sea level. Being a mile high, that’s a big loss! I realize you get what you pay for, so for the money I’m pleased.

What stood out for me was the quality of everything including the packaging, the excellent and well-written manual and the craftmanship of the unit. It took a very short time to go from setup to getting it running. The accessories make it easy and convenient to use.
