I love the easy push button start.

I'm getting older and I was having trouble using the rope pull starter on my old generator. And should I no longer be here my wife would definitely have problems. Now with the push button starter it's a piece of cake. And it is a quality piece of equipment.

5300 dual fuel generator

Unboxed put in oil and fired right up, it is pretty quite for an open frame. so far so good

Well thought out & constructed

This is well thought out and constructed. It comes with oil and funnel as well as hook up for propane. All plug in areas are covered, so I don't have to worry about mud daubers getting in there first. AND is dual fuel, so I can run it on petrol too. Excellent backup for our greenhouse power.

Hurricane season is here

Bought this at beginning of 2024 hurricane season in So. Fla. Has power and features I expect that I will need in event of any power outage ...like the one I had due to a lightning strike while repairs were done on my house and property by the power company. I know what I was without for several hours at a time over a months time. Should have gotten this gen then.

Easy to use, reliable unit. No wheels.

Purchased this unit 6/14/23 to be prepared for hurricane season in FL. I installed a transfer switch to use with the unit and I’m very happy with the generator. It is easy to use, labeled very well and we love the wireless start. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is that Westinghouse doesn’t sell a wheel kit separately. The unit is very heavy and I wanted to buy a wheel kit. I can not find one for this generator. Thankfully we don’t need to move it a long distance. If I were to buy again I would consider buying a unit that comes with the wheels.
