This is a great value for this generator.

It really works well for us. I love the remote start that is a must. It is not super quiet but also not obnoxiously loud either. Easily can put up with the noise. I bought two of them so I could run them in parallel to 50 amp service. That did the trick when we needed it in our 5th wheel.

I bought it a week ago, auto start is a plus , dual fuel , I only started to see if it starts or not , only time will tell how good this generator is . I like it so far

Feeling ready for the next power outage.

Received the Westinghouse WGen5300DFc Generator and immediately unboxed and assembled. Easy on the pocketbook comparatively to what you get. Easy assembly - took maybe 10 to 15 minutes to install wheels, foot pads and handle (ordered this separately). Looking forward to testing dual fuel and the push-button start and remote start. Ordered a companion manual transfer switch. Easy to maneuver and move around. Choose the dual fuel so that in the event of an outage, would have propane tanks on hand – or could use gas if needed. It looked and felt solid.

Life and death

I live in a northern state where snow and ice can kill your power. I also have a disabled wife on an oxygen concentrator. If there is no electricity for days and even weeks and no way to exchange tanks it would be disastrous. Two things give me peace of mind. Knowing I can run medical equipment and the refrigerator and freezer and lights. Secondly, it's a WESTINGHOUSE! If that brand confuses you Google it. It's been around for a while. It would seem there is a good reason. I remember our refrigerator in 1962. Rounded top. A classic worth a lot now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Duel fuel is important - I don't want to store gas

Have had it for just one week. Everything seems to work as it should. It has all of the features that I think are important. Duel fuel, electric start, CO and low oil shutoff and, hopefully, enough power for my needs. I did not buy a larger unit because I wanted one that would be fuel thrifty and still have enough power to run critical units in my home.
