I bought this generator so we could power our R.V. I needed it to be light so I could maintain and handle it . We needed the wattage for air conditioning. The quick start guide was very easy to understand. It just took a few pulls and started running. No problem starting. Left it run till light came on plugged in R.V. everything was good. Was not loud. Very happy with it. Yes I would recommend it.
Outstanding choice for a limited home power source. Power importand loads ( refrigerator, charge phones, etc.). Runs on Gas or LP. Small and polrtable.
I bought the unit for my father-in-law after his power was off for five days during a hurricane. Also, my son plans to use it with his RV. At 56 pounds, it's light enough to pick up. The unit has wheels that makes it very mobile.
Bought this for the last hurricane that came through. We lost power for 4 days and was able to save the items in the refrigerator, run the TV, charge devices, and make coffee! It definitely helped us get through. And love the fact that we could use propane while gas was hard to get!
I BOUGHT THIS ITEM AFTER MUCH RESEARCH AND I OWNED A PREDATOR 3500 INVERTER I AM AMAZED AT THE QUALITY AND HOW QUIET THIS GENERATOR IS. I OPTED FOR PULL CORD (COIL) BECAUSE IN MY Experience I FOUND THE BATTERY WAS NOT LASTING UNLESS USING CONTINUOUSLY. BUT I SEE WESTINGHOUSE OFFERS A BATTERY CHARGER WITH THEIR UNITS.
Followed start up guide and it wouldn’t start. Didn’t want to be too invasive as to void the warranty so I called support. Surprisingly I got through quickly. Tried everything they suggested along with items listed in the email they sent to establish a case number Waited 5 days and no return contact so I started snooping around under the service covers with a flashlight and found a disconnected blue wire under the gas tank. Plugged it back together and everything worked just fine. Ran on gas and propane.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
