Has all of the Bells and Whistles

Just picked up my Inverter Generator today. I serviced it and connected it to propane. Fired didn't up! I picked Westinghouse due to all of the Bells and Whistles it came with. I chose this 4000 watt inverter as I wanted all the power I needed to power my 5th wheel trailer and still weigh around 60 lbs. At 78 yrs. old the weight was a huge factor in my purchase. I wanted a dual fuel unit with remote capabilities. It is very quiet and came RV ready. The electric start works great. No straining here! My profession was in industrial electrical and mechanical. With the name Westinghouse I knew I was purchasing a well known name brand.

Initially I was worried because no battery power and absolutely no mention of the battery in the manual. After finding the battery disconnected, I connected it and everything was smooth sailing. There should be something in the instructions for initial started the instructs the user of battery location and connecting it prior to turning on switch for operation.

Great Generator iGen4000DFc

I bought a generator because of my local power supplier turns off power when it’s super windy in my area. They’ve done it 3 times and I was tired of losing my food and not being able to work at home. So I got this generator and it’s been great. I’ve used it for a total of 3 days running basically non stop to power half my house. I use it to power my fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven, WiFi routers, tv, and my laptop and two monitors. Not all are on at the same time but when I was using my computer with monitors, WiFi routers, fridge, and a toaster oven I was at 50% capacity according to the digital display. The thing is awesome and it’s not too loud either. I used eco mode and it’s nice cause it idles at a lower rpm and only idles up when there is more draw. The digital read is really nice too but for the fuel it only displays in liters, so I had to memorize the conversion since I only really understand ounces and gallons. The generator is really nice and hopefully it lasts a long time. I’ll probably be using it often during the windy months and tbh using it for 3 days was worth every penny. I would say the only downside is the instructions. Like it doesn’t state exactly how to handle the onboard li ion battery for the generator. I think they need to clarify this some. But otherwise if you’re looking for something quieter and somewhat portable as I can still carry it with one hand but it’s still a little heavy, and are able to power quite a bit as mentioned above, this is the one you want.

Great Features at a Great Price

I just received this Westinghouse, dual fuel, inverter generator. This is fantastic! A 4000 watt quiet, inverter generator for this price is amazing.
I love the dual fuel option since we do not want to carry extra gasoline when we travel on our camping trips that can last several months at a time. Trust me when I say that dual fuel generators in this size are not plentiful.
The packaging was perfect and the contents included a propane regulator and hose (extra cost with most companies), a bottle of oil, an oil spout and even a little tool pouch with a screw driver, wrench and a spark plug removal tool. Including a bottle of oil is almost unheard of. It may seem like a little thing but it says a lot when a company pays attention to the little things.
On the gas, the generator provides 3300 running watts with 4000 peak watts. On propane, it provides 2970 running watts and 3600 peak watts. In case you are not aware, all generators advertise their generator power based upon its peak wattage.
I am very pleased to have gotten this generator and would recommend that anyone looking for a generator to seriously consider Westinghouse.
Thank you Westinghouse! I look forward to many years of service from your product.

Delivered on expectations

Took the generator to operate high current appliances in 4,000 feet and high external temperatures. Used propane only so far and the generator worked well despite the altitude and harsh conditions.
Starting w the recoil was easy, although I found that after a few pulls it's better to close the choke to get it started.
Reasonably quiet and the standard propane tank lasted a few hours of operation.
This is the most powerful dual fuel generator I found in this weight class (next size up is about double at more than 100lbs) and it's a sweet spot tradeoff.
Wish the high altitude kit was available. I'm unable to find it.

I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen4000c generator for my upcoming summer adventures with my family of 5 and an RV trip from Texas to South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and beyond. I must say, this generator has exceeded all my expectations and has proven to be an essential companion for our travels.
First and foremost, the iGen4000c's portability is a huge plus. Despite its power and capability, it is surprisingly lightweight and easy to move around, making it perfect for RV trips and outdoor adventures. Setting it up is a breeze, and it doesn't take up much space, which is crucial when traveling with limited storage capacity. In terms of performance, this generator truly shines. The iGen4000c delivers reliable power output to run all our essential appliances and devices in the RV, ensuring we have all the comforts of home wherever we go. I particularly appreciate how quietly it operates, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful outdoor environment without disruptive noise. The fuel efficiency of the iGen4000c is impressive, providing long runtimes on a single tank of fuel. This has been a lifesaver during our extended trips, as we can rely on the generator to keep our devices powered without constantly refueling.

I wanted to wait to leave a review until I had a chance to test and I’m happy with this little thing. It runs my 15,000 btu AC with room to spare. It’s light enough to just carry around and it does really well with the economy load and fuel. The digital display is a nice addition and I like that you can turn the lights to see the switches on and off. Overall I’m very happy and glad I picked this one.
