I wish it came with the high altitude kit to begin with instead of having to order another kit and having to dismantle and install it myself. But seems to be a quality product.

I bought this generator after a recent winter storm and I'm extremely happy with my purchase! It is small but powerful and easy to move around. Way quieter than I expected too!

Beach life better w backup power just in case!

I purchased this generator a few days ago and just started it today to let it break in. So far it is very simple to set up and operate except for 1 thing which was the battery set -up w I could find zero info on in the manuals. I have a friend who walked me thru all of the battery set up/ charging and I was good to go. This model only weighs about 50 lbs and long handle makes it very easy to move around. Easy to fill oil and gas, etc Hopefully w never need it but I live at the beach and possible hurricanes, big storms, etc. could create serious outages so being prepared makes me feel safer in my new home. Happy to have it for back up!

I bought this a month ago since we have had outages in our neighborhood. Easy to set up in test run, and great that it can use propane and gas.

Arrived in good condition. Filled with oil, filled with gas, and connected the battery. The generator started right up after I turned on the gas and allowed the carburetor bowl to fill up. I ran it for the recommended break-in of 5 hours using different wattages from my camper. 4 months later using a couple hours weekly camping, I guess the carburetor float or needle valve had a problem and dumped fuel into my oil overnight. Using the remote to crank first thing in the morning the generator ran about 3 minutes and basically seized up. Very hard to pull crank rope. The first thing Westinghouse wants to do is put blame on the consumer so your 3 year warranty is nothing to look at. Westinghouse also tried to say I needed to take apart the carburetor and other things to repair myself. They didn't even offer for me to take it to a warranty repair shop for them to look at it. A person that is not mechanically inclined would not be able to do this. I have always used Top Tier Gasoline and a stabilizer everytime I fill my gas can. I also use an 80 mesh filter when filling the generator.I used to work on small engines so I will tear it apart and do repairs then sell it. I have already purchased a different brand. STAY AWAY FROM WESTINGHOUSE PRODUCTS!! Their next comment will be (sorry to hear about that) to please contact them as I already did by email.
