Floods itself and won’t start

80% of the time when you go to start it it floods out and won’t start, then have to let it sit for an hour or so and try again with your fingers crossed and hope for the best. When it does run it works good. Ordered the high altitude kit it says to order in the owners manual and it’s the wrong one cannot find the right one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was looking for a quieter and lighter generator than my Champion 4000. It is definitely lighter but I don't notice any difference between this and my Champion open frame generator. I didn't know I would have to get a conversion kit to run it at higher altitudes (8500 ft.) which had to be purchased separately. I waited a week for the high altitude kit and it took 30 minutes to install. The generator took quit a few pulls to get it primed and started. I'm looking forward to taking this out on our next camping trip to see how we'll it is going to work after I get the break in done.
Started up right out of the box. Added included oil and some gas and fired up right away. Just what we need for our small house. Will power fridge, a couple of lams and a fan or two. Nice and quiet so no neighbor problems. Just hoping the storms this year are not too bad.
