12000 /15000W Portable Generator.

I brought the 12000/15000 portable Generator months ago. Just had a tranfer box put in my house. This thing is sweet. I have a 22000 square feet house. The exception being my AC is to big and pulls to much wattage I did not put the AC iin line and second the transfer box only has so many switches and fuses. Yes I had a big tranfer box put in. Beyond that this thing exceeds my expectations. It powers the majority of my home. And still has power to spare. Oh, to solve the AC part I can add in a portable 40,0000 btu AC. If needed to cool just a section of my home. I have plenty of live outlet throughout the house. Sweet.

I purchased this to run my entire house after Texas’ Snowmagedden. Another event happened in 2023 whereby the 12000DF ran for 48 hours without incident. I had to manually balance the load through various breakers but my house was warm, all the appliances worked and we were comfortable. This is a very heavy unit so don’t think that it is easily portable. Great unit.

Fantastic Generator!!!!

My 20 year old 10K watt Porter Cable / Honda finally died during an extended power outage prompting me to research new generators. I wanted one with a Honda engine but there don’t seem to be many this size. I took a chance on the big Westinghouse 12K watt dual fuel. Wow!!! What a machine! They have really made a ton of improvements compared to my old generator. Auto choke, wireless start, dual fuel, output gauges, quieter, runs more steady, and more watts all make this Westinghouse a big winner! I highly recommend it - we only have 12 hours on it so far but if it stays this reliable we will be very happy!
