Runs smooth and quite

Had trouble getting this unit started out of the box. Added oil and fuel and nothing. Drained gas and then it fired up first pull. Must have been something in the carb or tank that blocked it. Runs great now. Very quite and starts first pull every time . This will be used to run my fifth wheel . Should be good.

It was simply a matter of putting in oil and gas and following the easy instructions to get this machine ready to use. It is amazingly quiet. Also relatively lightweight. As long as it fits in your space, Highly recommend it/

Started first pull

This is the second unit. The first unit started on the second or third pull but would only run for 5 seconds then die. I called customer service and they said someone would call me back. I didn't receive the call so the next day I called again. This time I had registered the unit and they gave me a case number. Be sure to register your generator before you call customer service! The person I spoke with asked what elevation I lived at. We are at 4,577 in Utah. He said it was probably the altitude and said they were going to have a high altitude kit available in 3 or 4 weeks. That would not do me much good since our camping trip was in 2 weeks. He wanted to listen to the unit run since I was at work I couldn't do that. I had to call back the next day and get to the same person. I started the unit and it ran for five seconds and died. Finally after starting it twice more and objecting to the altitude excuse, he finally gave an authorization to return the defective unit and sent a new generator. I received The new unit today! I went through the set up again and this time the new unit started on the first pull. It has run for about an hour with no load. Tomorrow I will run it with a light load and see what happens. I'm keeping my fingers crossed based on all the reviews. I read one review that stated how many service centers Westinghouse has. I found out they do not have a service center near my location and I'm less than fifty miles from Salt Lake City. At this point I would recommend this to a friend based on the fact that it may take a couple of tries to get one that will actually run. I know I will loose watt's when I run at a higher altitude but I still expect it start and run not shut down. I will know in a couple of weeks if it has a problem running at 7,000 - 7,500 feet of elevation. If it does I'll update this review

Easy to start and quite

I picked up my generator after a storm and was surprised by how lite it is. And also how easy it was to start and how quite it is while it is running. This has so many uses

Easy to use and good clean power

I use this inverter as a "Boon Dock" power supply for my travel trailer. It will run entire trailer electrical systems minus the AC. If I need the AC just turn off the water heater and it runs the 13,500 BTU AC unit.

lite weight 48 lbs. easy to move around, very solid and compact/ bought 2 igen2500 for our travel trailer . have not used them yet, but soon.
