not a fan but dont hate either

I bought my first one of these generators on may 11 2025. it worked okay the first summer. it would occasionally complain about oil even though it was full. I would lean it from side to side and end to end a few times and it would stop complaining. the recoil started broke twice and I managed to fix it both time but the 3rd time I tried the inserts in the plastic that hold the recoil to the frame seized up and I could not get it off. I also had to replace the muffler because the tail pipe broke off.
I bought a second one this week because it was the least expensive one I could manage to get in the shortest amount of time. This one keeps cutting off after about an hour of use. still trying to figure out what is going on. Hopefully it will stop.

Finally running good

Bought during power outage, last one they had, floor model, no owners manual, funnel or spark plug wrench. They did give me some 4 cycle oil. Very hard to get started. Cust support # not much help. Emailed me some instructions after a few days that were not for this Gen. 3rd time I called got Cody--really sharp, tried his suggestions, working great now. Thanks to Cody!!

I got so lucky. I bought this mid July and we had a derecho with tornadoes come through our town August 11. This little guy ran smoothly for 11 days. Simple and clean power. It’s not going to run your whole house but had no issue running my fridge or sump pump. Thank you Westinghouse!
