Owned 3 days now. Ran 2 tanks of gas through it and tested extensively. Started on very first pull, easy to start. A few parts fell off, the retainer for the screw that holds on the maintenance panel and the stop-run-choke knob fell off. The cover for one of the switches was loose. Not sure what confidence level I should have in the assembly of the unit. As a mechanical engineer ,it looks well designed, mostly, to me. The included spark plug wrench was cheaply manufactured and I had to spend 10 minutes with a dremel tool cleaning it up to get it to work. It performed well for the 2 tanks I ran through. The idle smoothness wasn't stellar, but it was fine. Stellar is a lot to ask for.

Quiet...then I used econ & whisper

I was very pleased that 1 pull starts this gen right out of the box. I thought it was quiet until I noticed the econ switch was off and then it got even quieter! I hooked it up to a portable ac unit and it handled it without a problem. A little kick up in throttle and then settled out even on econ! The real test will come later in the field.

It's quieter and lighter than I expected. It runs the a/c, mini fridge and microwave in my short bus that I use to travel to art and craft shows. The only negative I have is that an hour meter would have been nice to keep up maintenance. I ordered it on a Tues, it arrived on wed and I left for a show on Fri. The air feels great!!

Portable Quiet Power

Got the camo version for same price as blue one, so right off the bat I'm feelin' good about this inverter. Provided oil was exactly the amount needed so I'm keeping the bottle for refererence filling. It's quiet enough to not be annoying, just humming right along. Just breaking the rings in right now with the real test throughout the summer running various appliances.
I would recommend this to a friend!
